Saving Lives in the Real World by Training in the Virtual

Using 3DVIA technology, Dassault Sytèmes (DS) and Parisian medical lab, iLumens, developed a first-of-its-kind virtual training for saving lives. “Staying Alive” is an interactive, online 3D application that teaches professionals and novices how to stop heart attacks in four minutes using manual and device-assisted techniques. Several of the devices featured in the app have been developed in partnership with DS, namely the Philips HeartStart (HS1) portable defibrillator.
